I updated to 11.3 and my Firefox became ugly. It now looks like this: [URL]

Firefox still uses KDE file dialogs etc. so at least some of the Kde integration still works. How can make firefox look like it belongs to Kde desktop. I already tried reinstalling firefox and also removing .mozilla folder.
I cant, for the life of me, figure out how to make a desktop icon of Firefox. Anyone know how to make desktop icons in Puppy?

even though this is a simple task I always have problems to do this.I want to execute the following#!/bin/bashjava -jar JabRef-2.6.jaror in other words this is the command I use in konsole to make the application to launch.Then usully I try to create a desktop in the icon either by using a. create link to locationorb. create link to application.where I select as file the file myfile.sh that contains the two lines of code I posted above (see again below)

The icon for check for updates in the tray, it's blank or scrambled. If you search google for "birthday images". Then click on "Images for "birthday images". They are scrambled. I don't have the nvidia driver installed. Reloading the page doesn't affect it. suse 10.3 64bit nvidia 9800gt video card

Get Fedora 11 and Apache installed. Open web browser and enter http://localhost and I get a "Fedora Test Page" that shows Apache is working (according to the info on the page). It says to put my web documents in /var/www/html/ ... however, as a user I cannot access it (put anything there) and I can't change the permissions (belongs to root) I'd like to run this as an intranet web server in our small ( <100 users) company.

I'm currently using an NFS server to share data on our small business network. It works a bit faster than SAMBA, but I do have a problem. NFS takes group id from the first 16 groups a member belongs to when mounted - let's not get into how that doesn't make huge amount of sense
Since I assigned about 6 different groups to our users internally to control directory access, some internal groups do not pass when mounting the server's files (as ubuntu has at least 8 or so groups that are system dependent). Is there a way to change the ORDER of the groups a user belongs to? I see that what gets passed to NFS mount follows exactly the order given when I type "group" when logged in. The groups do not come in alphabetical order or group ID number. I did try changing the order of entries in /etc/group and that also doesn't do anything. Essentially they seem completely random.
since ubuntu's decided that firefox needs to have their strange and weird theme for the buttons... what's the easiest way to remove this new way that it decides that the button configuration for when you want to close it and other things? I cannot seem to find this file, and i've already tried to delete my .mozilla file and i've installed swiftfox and it's using it. So where in the world did the Ubuntu UI people put this thing at?

The Processes tab shows which process is taking how much cpu/ram resources but I unfortunately there is no option like right click and make the window active that matches the PID (the one process that I have currently highlighted). Usually there is a chrome process taking up 30 or 40 percent of CPU while dozens other chrome processes taking much less cpu. I must determine which chrome window ( or any application which has multiple instances running) is taking that much CPU time. So can some one help me to solve this problem?

I want to make a live-USB containing among others both Ubuntu desktop i386 and Ubuntu desktop AMD64. How do I go about this? I tried using unetbootin, first adding i386 and then amd64, but that failed. My computer with an athlon II did manage to boot, and showed it had booted into the 64-bit version (ram shown was 3.9 GB, i386 goes to about 2.7 I think), my wife's computer with a pentium 4 did not manage to boot, got to a black screen. I think this is because casper has issues, being overwritten (I'd seen something to that effect somewhere), and thus only the latest version added being booted (in this case amd 64).
I'm under the impression that the startup disc creator included won't help, nor won't the multicd.sh script, so how do I circumvent the issues?
he clicks on everything on his GNOME desktop, and manages to delete everything, including menus, icons, etc. The people he lives with aren't skilled enough to fix it, and I live a good eight hours away. I have remote capabilities with NX, but that requires them to initiate a connection to my workstation here, which is more painful than I thought it would be. I need a way of locking down the desktop, so it's read-only, so he can't make the changes he seems to keep making. I figure I could make the .gnome directory read-only, but I don't know if that would affect the normal operation.

I need to get Java working on Firefox. I read some instructions that had one create a link in .mozilla/plugins, to a java library, so I did. When I load a website with Java on it, I still get the message about needed to install a plugin. Not sure what is up. I wouldn't care so much, but I have some equipment that has a Java web interface that I need to configure. If I can't get Java working on Firefox, then that is a problem. I've put the link I created in the plugins dir below.
