sporadically and sometimes, right click image > save image as does not work, ie no response. If I close FF and restart, more often than not it does (same target image, natch) Anyone else have any experience here? I have tried the "advanced options" in java script under edit> prefs, but the problem persists. Would there be any point in starting from CLi and looking at/posting the output?

View 4 Replies View RelatedThis may (or may not) duplicate yester64's post but I'm trying to learn html and I've been going crazy with the <basefont /> tag. KompoZer, Opera, and Firefox all ignore it. However, any <font /> tag I use works with no problems What's really maddening is that I copied the file to the windows side and IE works wonderfully with the same file although Firefox still ignores it! I keep windows around for One and only one program - tomtom. I would cry at mozilla except that the same problem is occuring in those other non-mozilla programs.

When I begin to use Mozilla Firefox (version automatically installed with OpenSUSE 11.3) the cursor freezes or locks up (when I move the mouse/cursor-pointer), and the only way I can do anything is turn off the computer and start over (to no avail, because it does the same thing within a a minute or so after entering Mozilla Firefox. I did not have this problem with OpenSUSE 11.2.

I can't find a package of Firefox in OBS which is compiled with smooth scaling of images option turned on (as is the case in Windows version where this option is turned on by default). Could someone provide me a link from where I can get this package.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI've been scanning in large numbers of old photos for a friend, and up until now, xsane has worked like a charm. Today, however, it's spitting at me. If I try to select a file path in advance, and just save the images, it fails, suggesting that a link exists. (No, I'm putting them directly into the directory in question; no links involved.) I have to bring up the image in the viewer, select Save and select the path for each and every photo involved. Not only that, if I try using the file selection box to show xsane where I want things stored, it doesn't put the path into the box; I have to type it in myself. Considering that I have the best part of a hundred photos to scan, this isn't exactly an option. Does anybody have an idea what's gotten mungged, or how to unmung it?

when I open a Firefox session and I right click an image and select "Save Image As" nothing happens meaning no file window opens to save the image. To allow firefox to save an image I have to exit out of it and reopen it. Since I have ran a couple difference distributions over the past week and I have not had this issue before then I am pretty sure it is an OpenSuse only issue. Also another Opensuse issue only in firefox seems to be the inline spell check is underlining words at random that are spelled correctly and incorrectly.

What stop me to just download the .deb package from mozilla for the version I want and install it? Will it be less integrated to the system, will it not be compatible with my 64bit ubuntu? I just find it so much simpler to download a package from the web and double click on it than going through terminal, yet no-one seems to propose this option.

It is extremely hard to get the latest builds. I don't even know what I had to wrestle through to get to 4.0.1, which is what I am on now. Tell me the super easy way. Mozilla is awful. Also, how can I get the new beta and aurora channel switcher? I believe I can only get it if I update to a newer version which is what I am trying to do now. It says to go to about and then click "change" which is not there. So Linux really shouldn't be this complicated and frustrating.
