Software :: Configuring Fetchmail - Mail Server Setup
I have Ubuntu and I want to setup a mailserver. I use fetchmail to fetch mail But I wanted to configure fetchmail with fetchmailconf. I know, I can edit the configfile, but I wanted to use fetchmailconf. According to the man of fetchmail, fetchmailconf is very handy. In synaptic, I installed fetchmail 6.3.2.2Ubuntu2.3 and I wanted to install fetchmailconf 6.3.2.2Ubuntu2 : well it didnt work fetchmailconf 6.3.2.2Ubuntu2 needs fetchmail 6.3.2.2Ubuntu2. So, no worries: I searched the internet for fetchmailconf 6.3.2.2Ubuntu2.3, but I couldn't find any. Same with fetchmail6.3.2.2Ubuntu2 First of all, I want to flame synaptic for supplying 2 different versions for 2 pieces of software that only work with eachother. Second: where can I find 2 matching versions? Or fix synaptic or maybe someone has a really cool solution?

OpenSUSE Network :: Configuring Mail / Web Server With A Static Ip?
I think that i lost my memory, because i completely forgot how to accomplish this. I have a WEB/MAIL server configured to work on a static IP address, lets say 200.11.22.33. Now I wanna point a domain to that server to get the services up and running, lets say mydom.com ... The static IP Address is assigned by my Internet Provider. I'm lost in the part of connecting the domain with the server. I have the domain DNS pointing to the ISP name servers, but I don't remember if this is the correct way, or if I have to setup my own DNS server.

CentOS 5 Server :: Postfix And Hosts File - The Mail Server Could Not Deliver Mail
I've setup my server by following a ton of goods, and it seems to work ok, but I need to start using my server for email in order to receive orders placed via my website. I've followed this guide - [URL] I followed the steps above, and tested the mail server via telnet, and all seemed to be ok. I tried sending an email via Squirrelmail, from cs@thinclientwarehouse.co.uk TO my working email simon@c1systems.co.uk, but the server returned with the following message: <simon@c1systems.co.uk>: host mail.c1systems.co.uk[95.128.128.129] said: 550-Verification failed for <cs@localhost.thinclientwarehouse.co.uk> 550-The mail server could not deliver mail to cs@localhost.thinclientwarehouse.co.uk. The account or domain may not exist, they may be blacklisted, or missing the proper dns entries. 550 Sender verify failed (in reply to RCPT TO command)

Server :: Build The Virtual Machines To Exclude The Actual Mail Files And Mail Logs From CentOS?
I have to administer a few mail servers, a mail log server, 4 nameservers and a web server -all running on Centos 5 server distributions. Now I have a task: to avoid accidental crashes on the production servers while installing updates, my boss asked me to do clones (these clones will all be VMware virtual machines) of the servers (EXCLUDING the actual e-mails and mail log contents) and then to run those clones on VMWare Server. This way, first I will install and test updates on the clones and - if they will be running without crashes - I will apply the updates on the real production servers themselves. I have already installed VMWare Server 2.0 I have a few questions: - How do I build the virtual machines to exclude the actual mail files and mail logs? Can I use VMware Converter for this purpose, or do I have to use another program? - How do I actually do this cloning? Is there a tutorial on how to do this?

General :: Segmentation Fault For Centos Mail Server?
My centos linux mailserver has crushed and does not allow any login form any user including root. I have managed to start it in single user mode but using vi editor, df command gives segmentation fault. I suspect the /var/* is full but I can neither remove any file/folder/mail/logs nor copy these to make a backup.Attempt to do this as single user/root is met with readonly files yet I have given full permissions to the files and the folders.

CentOS 5 Server :: Centos 5.4 And Xen 3.4.2 Full Virtualization Not Working
I installed the latest version of Centos 5.4.It came with Xen version 3.0.2 I think.I am running it on a Dell R510. It supports hardware virtualization.I was able to virtualize Windows XP and Windows 2003 server on it by selecting the install from DVD option.I was having problems trying to get a PCI DekTek card seen by the virtualized Windows domains so I tried to upgrade XEN to 3.4.2.I used the repos available from Gitmo and it went easy. The only problem is now that when I try to create a "New virtual host" it only allows me to use HTTP, FTP option and not the iso or DVD option. They are greyed out. I was wondering if anyone has had this problem and might know a work around for the Xen 3.4.2 problem. Perhaps a better location for the kernel or something.

CentOS 5 Server :: Configuring Email Aliases Per Domain?
I've got a server with several different virtual hosts on them, e.g. host1.com, host2.com, host3.com. Is there a way I can set up an email alias just for an individual domain? e.g. I want to set up help@host2.com, but not to have help@host1.com or help@host3.com. I can't see how to do this in the /etc/aliases file...
