I googled upto my capability but cant find answer so asking you In one of my apache 2.0.52 machines, we are using worker MPM model. Even if I use 1 start servers, the # of http processes it starts is 5. No matter what value I pass in StartServers, I dont see more than 5-6 http processes
MaxClients 1
ServerLimit 1
ThreadsPerChild 1
StartServers 1
How can I check if my CentOS server has Apache configured with SSL enabled? I think Apache was installed with the default modules.
View 3 Replies View RelatedOur websever, Linux Debian with mysql, apache2, php 5 went down this saturday. Now this monday morning i must find out why this happened. I am looking for the the correct log files. We know that the server was available by using ping so it is (was) an application failure. We know that the our apache support team had changed the php to improve performance to apc.shm_size=192M (a couple a weeks ago) because couple a weeks ago we got a "Unable to allocate memory for pool" error message. Our server is running on a Vmware Server version 3 as virtual machine with sufficient CPU and RAM resources. Where and which log files must be checked to avoid future download times (it is our Company web page!!!!)

View 1 Replies View RelatedI tried creating a virtual server in apache and it got created successfully. (I also added a zone in dns for that domain successfully) However, when I try opening that domain in my browser, I see a popup window which asks me what to do with "default" which is a php file type.
I dont see the index.php which should actually open. What do I do to make the php files display correctly?
At this moment I got a question asking what files should I configure to setup Apache and the client to access should insert something like http://10.0.0.10/mywebsite:8080. I have already installed APache2, and change the listen ports to 8080 at ports.conf (Listen 8080 | Name VirtualHost *:8080) and at /etc/apache2/default (VirtualHosts *:8080). I also found the index.html at /var/www folder. I also changed IP address at /etc/network/interfaces. With this changing, now I can access using http://10.0.0.10:8080. But the problem is, what about the "mywebsite" part?

I am trying to solve a problem where Apache stats aren't displaying correctly in Munin. I've ran through quite a bit of checks and tests regarding Munin setup, but I think my issue is related to Apache, but my skill set there is lacking.
first, system info:

I don't mind that apache logs "rotate". By that, I mean that periodically the most recent log is renamed "*.1" and the older logs are bumped up a number In my particular situation, I do mind that the log that was "*.4" is deleted rather than being renamed to "*.5" when that periodic renaming happens.
I know most of the other /var/log files have the same behavior. What does this? Can I change it so my apache logs are "rotated" up but aren't deleted? I know this will take some hard drive space, but I have a lot of it.

What is the best way to accomplish this? To make things more difficult, it would be near to impossible for me to pull any software off the internet for this.
