CentOS 5 :: Missing Dependencies When Trying To Install Clisp On CentOS 5.5?
Dec 17, 2010
I have been trying to install clisp on one of our systems and get the error: Missing Dependency: libsigsegv.so.0()(64bit) for package: clisphowever, I have checked and the library libsigsegv-2.7-1.el5.rf.x86_64 and its associated header file package are, in fact, installed.
Been attempting to upgrade the PHP version to a VPS on Blacknight Ireland hosting (Blacknight Hosting) but am having trouble trying to install the yum package on CentOS 5.5. I've downloaded a suitable yum installer from the hosting companies own downloads site (which you'd presume would work with their CentOS version), uploaded and attempted to run. However, it fails with the following output:
[Code]...
Been reading from various sources through Google searches that these should already be preinstalled with CentOS? Can anyone point me in the right direction to get these?
I am trying to install koha on centos 5.5. The manual tells me to install perl dependencies from companion CD. copy the usr_local.tar.gz to hard drive. But there are seven cd for centos. Which one is the right one for perl dependencies?

I'm running FC11 on an Intel 686 server and would like to solicit some help. I'm writing an Expect script to discover our lab network and would like to insert the results into a mySQL database. I've installed Apache/PHP/mySQL via the LAMPP distribution. I've hit a brick wall, however, in trying to install the mysqltcl library. how to install the library. I have downloaded an RPM, but installatiojn is failing due to missing dependencies: libmysqlclient.so.10 and libmysqlclient_r.so.10. And I have no luck in locating and installing those.
I am running 5.2; have not configured or installed anything special; and need to perform an update and get the dependencies installed, too. What is the best way to do that?
I'm trying to track down some dependencies for truecrypt,
libwx_baseu-2.8.so.0 is needed by truecrypt-6.3a-1.el5.i386 libwx_baseu-2.8.so.0(WXU_2.8) is needed by truecrypt-6.3a-1.el5.i386 libwx_gtk2u_adv-2.8.so.0 is needed by truecrypt-6.3a-1.el5.i386 libwx_gtk2u_adv-2.8.so.0(WXU_2.8) is needed by truecrypt-6.3a-1.el5.i386
The question is how can I get full list of dependencies? I mean full list, not only 1lvl from yum deplist "package name"Full list you can see when you do yum install "packages name"
I have been able to load CentOS on my computer. I have the motherboard DG41TY from Intel. It seems that the only problem I have is my network card does not work. On the Intel site there is a link to download the network driver for Linux. I did that. It's an rpm file. realtek-r8169-kmp-default-8.004.00_2.6.16.60_0.21-0.i586.rpm is the name. When i right click and say install it tried to connect to the internet for some thing and fails. of coarse it does there not loaded yet. I added a second nic that cent did recognize and got me online. I want to load the on board driver and remove the add on card. When I try to load now I get missing dependencys.
The upstream provider is supplying samba3x (currently samba 3.3.8) packages in their supplementary repository. I know that most of what is in the supplementary repository is burdened with restrictive or non-free licenses, however, Samba is not.
The samba3x packages are critical for Windows Server 2008 trust relationships as well as Windows 7 client support for a CentOS server acting as a Windows domain controller. I know that I can either roll my own packages or compile from source, but an officially supported version would be a much better option on a production server. Is there any way CentOS can "officially" supply these packages and their associated dependencies?
I am attempting to write an rpm for railo-resin server. To the best of my knowledge the rpm is written correctly, however when I run "rpm -ivh rail-x.x.x.rpm" I get the following error. Quote:error: Failed dependencies: libodbc.so is needed by railo-3.1-2.i386 libodbcinst.so is needed by railo-3.1-2.i386
I do encounter when I try to install this file: [root@mypc]# rpm -ivh sysstat-7.0.2-3.el5.i386.rpm warning: sysstat-7.0.2-3.el5.i386.rpm: V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID 37017186 error: Failed dependencies: libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.4) is needed by sysstat-7.0.2-3.el5.i386 rtld(GNU_HASH) is needed by sysstat-7.0.2-3.el5.i386
Also when I try this also not work # yum install sysstat -bash: yum: command not found However the os and email server working fine on it. What should I check and try it.

I am a newbie trying to install XMLSec on my server. I have CentOS 5 with OpenSSL 0.9.8b. I downloaded xmlsec1-1.0.3-1.i386.rpm from [URL]. While doing rpm -Uvh xmlsec1-1.0.3-1.i386.rpm I get the following error message.
error: Failed dependencies: libcrypto.so.4 is needed by xmlsec1-1.0.3-1.i386 libxml2.so.2 is needed by xmlsec1-1.0.3-1.i386 libxslt.so.1 is needed by xmlsec1-1.0.3-1.i386
I also downloaded RPM's for libxml2 and libxslt from ftp://xmlsoft.org/libxslt/ but each package give further errors rpm -Uvh libxml2-2.7.3-1.x86_64.rpm warning: libxml2-2.7.3-1.x86_64.rpm: Header V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID de95bc1f error: Failed dependencies: libxml2 = 2.6.26 is needed by (installed) libxml2-python-2.6.26-2.1.2.7.x86_64

I am following [URL] to install ubuntu on my beagleboard via Ubuntu 10.10 on liveCD. When I enter this command in terminal.
"sudo ./setup_sdcard.sh --mmc /dev/sdX --uboot beagle" It gives me a error sayings Dependencies are missing. "Missing pv.Your System is Missing some dependencies Ubuntu/Debian: sudo apt-get install uboot-mkimage wget pv dosfstools btrfs-tools parted" And when I enter the that above in terminal I get the following error. Unable to locate PV.
The first server I installed installed fine. The second server, installed with the same config, went to "kernel panic not syncing no init found try passing init= option in kernel" error. I tried reinstalling but it keeps going to that error after install reboot. The storage is ISCSI connected via Intel Server Adapter, which allows it to boot from ISCSI. Not sure if that's the cause for the problem, but the first server is connected to the same ISCSI and installed just fine.
Is there a way that I can make sure ISCSI module installs during installation? Although I think it is installed since it's able to copy the files and setup /dev/sda. I just wana make sure that it installs during setup.
I have tried to install debian 5.0 and 4.0 without any luck. I have both tried virt-manager and virt-install with both debian-501-i386-netinst.iso, and full dvd. I't always gives me the same error:Starting install.Could not find an installable distribution at '/xen/debian-501-i386-netinst.iso'
i didnt find a solution to a display problem im having. my server mobo is an asus k8n-dre with built in video. after the install(using built in video) the screen dosnt display fully as in black sections on the left and top of the screen. from the searching i did i found something about an "xrandr" command that would let me change the video settings but it didnt do anything with the black areas when i tried it. i also have a nvidia geforce 9500gt video card so i changed the jumper to boot from it and tried again. the black sections are still there but the centos display covers much more of the screen now. theres still about a third of an inch gap on the left hand side and about 1/4 of an inch on the top. ive also tried updating the software to see if it may be a driver issue but no luck. anyone know how or if it can fit to full sceen? the screen displays up to 1440x900 if im not mistaken but with the built in video it gave me lots of display options including the 1440x900. after changing to the nvidia card it only shows 800x600 and 640x480.
I am trying to install CentOS 5.2, and the installation ran out of disk space after running for about 2 hours.I checked the FAQ, and it said 1.2 GB. The disk is 3 GB. The default install was selected, and I think that it checks for sufficient available disk space before installing. Still, it ran for quite a while before announcing that it was out of disk space. The Installation Guide is not very helpful, since there is a blank page where the disk space requirement is supposed to be. I just picked the default installation. A search of the forums on "not enough disk space" did not return much.
I have successfully installed CentOS 5.4, and after choosing it from the GRUB menu, I am getting the following error message:1706-Smart Array Controller Extended BIOS Data Area Memory Corrupted. Int 13h BIOS Cannot Continue - System Halted.I'm using two SAS disks that came along with the server, left the default RAID configuration (1+0) on a P410 controller
