Jtextfield.setHighlighter(null);
So I am not able to copy text from JTextfield to other text editor in windows.
In Linux MouseDrag on Jtextfield data and paste in text editor also not able to paste data but MouseDrag on Jtextfield data and using center button of mouse(scroller) able to paste data on other text editor. Same thing is happening with double click and tab also. In windows it's working fine.
know what can be done to enable the "select text to copy" and "shift+insert to paste" features in linux.

THere are time when I need to copy text from an application in the Fedora host machine and paste the text into a different app in the XP guest machine. I was able to do this using Vitualbox on an earlier version of Fedora.
View 1 Replies View Relatedsince some days I have a strange problem with KMail (1.13.5) in KDE4.5.5. When I try to copy some text from an email and past it to any other program (e.g. Openoffice), not only the marked text will be pasted, but a kind of HTML code including the text.
This bug is not OpenSuse specific. I found the same bug in a Fedora mailing list (of course, whithout an answer): Strange Copy/Paste behavior in KMail 1.13.5/Kontact 4.4.8
I can copy and paste text within a document but can't seem to do so between applications. It just doesn't work.
This problem did not exist on earlier versions of Ubuntu.
Running: 10.04 dual boot on a Dell Latitude D510 with 2gig RAM.
Can't be done but if you have two distros on one computer can you copy install programs from one install to the other to save me downloading the games again they are quite large on my **** weak download limit. One distro is ubuntu 10.04 and the other is mint 9 so there is compatibility between the two

On my system, I copy text in LibreOffice Writer either with the keyboard shortcut or with the context menu, and then I try to click on another window in the task bar, and it doesn't respond for about 2 seconds. View 14 Replies View RelatedEver since I upgraded to 10.10, I've been having problems with running KDE apps under my Gnome desktop.Problem one: Apps start in full screen. With Amarok, I was able to set a shortcut key to un-fullscreen the program, which worked. BasKet does not have an option for setting such a keyboard shortcut, and it's pretty much just stuck in fullscreen. Since I'm running Gnome, I do not have an option for un-fullscreening it via the window list bar/right click window menu.
Second problem: My KDE apps seem to use my GTK theme/color settings, but only partially. This results in a situation where I have black text on gray background, which makes it pretty unusable unless I change the GTK theme to something more black-on-white. Before 10.10, KDE apps used to run with what I assume was some sort of a KDE theme, completely different from my GTK theme. I was OK with that, and if possible, would like to remove whatever Gnome-KDE compatibility thing that is causing this.
