View 1 RepliesI have fedora 11, and installed citrix ica client from the citrix website, but it does not seem to be working. Basically nothing happens instead of launching. I have also installed "terminal server client" (which does work except for the citrix ica connection part of it). In this program when you go to the option "Add connection", then there is an option that says "Citrix ICA connection". It used to be greyed out before I installed the citrix client from the citrix website. Now it is not greyed out but nothing happens when you click on it (also no error messages). I also tried going on the hard drive to '/usr/lib/ICAClient/wfica' and also to "/usr/lib/ICAClient/wfcmgr" and manually trying to launch those executable files but nothing happens there as well.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI get a wrong architecture error when I try to install the .deb .A fully 32 bit enabled install of Ubuntu 10.10 86-64 on a D525 Atom based system does not seem to work at all. It will not install with gdebi or the new Ubuntu software centre.I have the 32 bit required OpenMotif libs installed...and all the other stuff that is i386 arch works perfect. I really want to run the 64 bit os but perhaps I can dual boot it with Fedora 32. There is nothing in the asus bios of the board that says emulate i386 like with AMD 64 chips...I thought that the D525 atom was fine as it will run 32 bit XP or any 32 bit linux.
So what might be the trouble with running 32 bit software on Ubuntu 10.10 64 on this machine? Why does the Ubuntu hacked gdebi software install system insist that i386 software is the wrong arch for this intel atom?This is really maddening as my wife's work demands this citrix client, and the last thing that I want to do is run out and buy an oem of Windows 7.been there done that with 98, XP, and Vista I am looking to ditch her noisy POS vacuum cleaner vista machine..but I cannot do it until I have the linux citrix client installed and working.

I have Slackware64 13.1 with multilib enabled. I downloaded the Citrix Client Receiver 11 from [URL] (it is available for 32 bit architectures only). I followed the installation instructions and all went fine. I even installed openmotif from slackbuilds.org repository as a dependency. When i tried to do:

I'm trying to use Xchat, to communicate with a server which uses CAcert root certificate(s) for its SSL connection. I have Xchat all configured, and it works fine when I connect without SSL, but I'm getting pretty miffed about how to get it to find/use whatever local certificates I'm supposed to have, assuming I actually *have* these certs installed somewhere. This seems like it should be less difficult than I'm making it out to be. I've been to CAcert's website and their Wiki, and while they have the root certificates available for download (which I did, as well as inadvertently installing them into my browser, where they probably already were anyway) the only instructions I saw in their "Linux" docs department, on how/where to use/put them, were for a couple RH based distros, and some other distro I'm not using.
I checked the Xchat website and had a somewhat semi-thorough look around their user forum, but didn't find what I need there either. The openssl man page (yes, it's installed) doesn't tell me what I want, and xchat doesn't even *have* a man page. An LQ search turns up a few off-topic threads, mainly several years old and with very little in the way of replies. This ought to be easy :/ and I bet it is easy, with the right documentation in front of me. This is Slackware 13-64/-current. I've got /etc/ssl/certs folder, with nothing in it; and I have an /etc/ssl/openssl.cnf file which *appears* to be intended for using SSL on my own server (don't want that).

Can someone point me to a decent link/tutorial about how to connect by IRC, (using Xchat if that matters), and have it find my SSL certs and/or where/how I get the CA root certificates in the right location for this to work?

I'm not sure whose problem it is because it mentions uses an invalid security certificate.This certificate is only valid for *.opendns.com(Error Code: ssl_error_bad_cert_domain)It continues to say that someone could be impersonating the actual server. I am still receiving mail through google and my google calendars seem to be working. I do use OpenDNS for my DNS instead of my ISPs (Comcast which would very often slow down) and obviously I use IMAP mail with google on Thunderbird. So is it google, or OpenDNS, or Thunderbird that has a problem. Firefox does not seem to have a problem

I have used Ubuntu for around three months but I also have to use windows for my work and this first started when I upgraded to win 7 and the pc gradually slowed down and became impossible to use. It also refuses to install. I suspect that I probably picked up a bug during installation of win 7 and new memory. I am having to type this on my wife's laptop.
