Are there any other options for a fire wall gui for opensuse where you can see exactly what is going on with the firewall? I am finding the yast firewall gui in opensuse 11.4 to be extremely limited. I am not proficient in ip tables so looking for something that would give better control over the firewall rules for a beginner.

I'm running open suse 11.4 with gnome desk top.the flash player in fire fox 4.0.1 is installed but i still can't get any you tube video's to work or any video's for that mater.i did in stall an add-on called flash -aid. and not sure what happen. so i uninstalled the add-on and un installed flash player a couple of times and reinstalled it.and i still have no way to see any video's at all.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been trying to set up Frets on Fire with my guitar from Metallica Edition (which somewhere up and down i read was of the GHWT breed).On windows, with bluesoleil and GlovePie i have been able to successfully get it running with the aid of a script elaborated in the [URL] forum. i wanted to run this on my ubuntu box (that is my media center).I successfully added and compiled the latest Cwiid from git, installed it and my guitar connects just fine and works correctly as a mouse.
The problem the GH3 script that is posted everywhere just won't do. The guitar is simply dead when i run wminput with that script.I know it too late to make this short but my question is, has anyone got this running Fof with GHWT on Ubuntu (or any linux for that matter)?
Im having a problem with firefox. I left firefox running overnight yesterday only to wake up to a totally unresponsive karmic. Everything was frozen and i couldn't get anything to run. I restarted the ubuntu and everything seemed to be ok until I tried to open firefox. Almost immediatly the first window opened it was followed by what looked like fifty more. It kept opening windows until ubuntu crashed. I restarted karmic again and did a couple of google searches using opera and found out that it might be a adware problem. I have thought of getting rid of my cookies but i do not know whether that will help.

Is there a CLI I can enter and see the issue or perhaps 10.10 and my drivers are conflicting?
EDIT: I see in synaptic I have nvidia drivers and something called a nouveau display driver. Can I remove those since I run an ATI card?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've had 8.04 for almost a year & a half now, but the one thing that seems to confuse me after getting the rest of ubuntu is how to get wifi working. Before you say "read XXX FAQ, wiki, page", etc, I've read so many and despite understanding every normal thing about ubuntu, and all the customization I have, I haven't seen a single, up-to-date guide for making sense of wifi.
Here's what I know:
My wireless card is Network controller: Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 2915ABG Network Connection (rev 05), supported in linux only by using a windows driver, ipw2200, which I do have running and installed somehow.

I also realized I needed ndiswrapper, so I installed that. Beyond this, I'll just admit it- I'm very confused. I have always had a working connection over ethernet cable plugged in, but I really need wireless lately, and found an old Netgear WGR614v7 G band wireless rounter in my basement, hooked it up, and have a wired connection from it right now.
So how do I set-up/get my wireless working with all this thus far? How do I set up the router's network through Ubuntu as well, so I can create a named network to connect to? I'm reading every guide I can, and am just coming up more confused.

Am carrying out installation of CentOS-5.5 on a Sun fire X2270 server using PXE. The installation starts well but on getting to the keyboard type the installation halts. I have plugged in a USB keyboard unfortunately, am unable to select the keyboard type even on reboot as the keyboard is non-responsive.
