Please verify its path and try again I have tried globally to disable the gpg check as stated in other threads. I have no proxies or such in yum.conf or in my bashrc. If I manually click on the link it will resolve in firefox so I am sure it is not my net connection per se, it seems yum or curl is adding a : to the end of the url thats why it wont resolve properly.
I have done a yum clean all , which didnt really help either. reinstalling the rpmfusion repos isnt an option either as I start getting curl errors in the terminal. I am really at a loss here and am completely out of ideas as I cant install any updates or software , at first I thought the repositories were having problems with the holidays but this has been going on for 4 days now. /var/log/messages isnt showing anything either.

I just re-installed on a third computer Fedora 12 from the DVD iso that has been used on many machines. But in the past 3 days I am getting the following message. This is on 2 different downloads of the iso also. It hasn't ever happened to me in the past.

I've asked for help (which has been freely given) on these forums before, but nothing has worked, and I've been stuck with this error for many months now. In effect, my system is effectively non-upgradable.
However, I would like to upgrade to 11.2. Is there an upgrade CD, or should I just download the 11.2 DVD (at nearly 5GB) and choose the "upgrade" option from it?

I do not see a yum --removerepo command
I don't want to disable it... I want to completely remove it, so it doesn't sneak back later. I don't see a yum --removerepo and Googling leads to instructions to disable.

It occured after informing me about the amount of packages that need to be updated and a message about some dependencies that have to be newly installed. At the moment I'm a bit lost about what to do. Also I realy don't know which system-information would be useful - let me know and I will answer.

I have installed a package that doesn't work on my system because some dependency is not met and I cannot resolve that without seriously breaking my system. Now I want to uninstall that package but it doesn't work. Synapic package manager is also not able to do anything with this broken package. How can I get rid of it now?
