I have installed real player 64 bit version from here . The player was installed properly but its not playng .rm files. Real player window appears but does not play file.
I have installed fc11 x86_64 on my machine. When I try to install .bin files, it displays 'ld-linux.so.2 bad elf interpreter no such file or directory' error. I have also installed glibc but it didn't fix the problem.
I've just installed FC 13 and trying to get Real Player installed. After downloading it from Real installing it gives this error
rpm -ivh RealPlayer11GOLD.rpm Preparing... ########################################### [100%] 1:realplay ########################################### [100%] postinst called with unknown argument `2' warning: %post(realplay-11.0.2.1744-1.i386) scriptlet failed, exit status 1
Then it thinks it's installed because it doesn't install again have to force it the second time. Can't remove it though because that doesn't think it's there.
i have a problem with realplayer 11 i can't open it due to that error message

How to install VLC media player in Fedora Core 6. I tried to find out in the net, but all went in vain. From google I got this link [URL]. But if I follow the instructions given for FC6 in that link, am getting the following error.
# rpm -ivh [URL] Retrieving [URL] error: open of <!DOCTYPE failed: No such file or directory error: open of HTML failed: No such file or directory error: open of PUBLIC failed: No such file or directory
Any other rpm's for installing the VLC media player or let me know how to resolve this error.
What is the magic that needs to be done to be able to record in audacity?
- Fedora 15 x86_64 2.6.35.12-88.fc14.x86_64 - SoundBlaster X-Fi card. -I have added rpmfusion to yum repos.
When I start audacity the following is printed to the concole:
Code:
Cannot connect to server socket err = No such file or directory Cannot connect to server socket jack server is not running or cannot be started Expression 'stream->capture.pcm' failed in 'src/hostapi/alsa/pa_linux_alsa.c', line: 3653
You may know the Humble Indie Pack 2, which is a set of crossplatform indie video games. There's one game in the bundle that doesn't offer a 64bit build and therefore it fails to load. It's called Braid and that's what you get when you try to run it: $ ./braid ./braid: error while loading shared libraries: libGL.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Of course the 64bit libs for OpenGL and the propitiatory nvidia drivers are installed, but the game asks for the 32bit ones, at least to my understanding. I do know that why can install 32bit libraries on a 64 bit linux system (we do that for the sake of crappy Adobe Flash), but I don't know where to find these libs (searching the repo with keywords like .i586 or ia32 led me nowhere).
After boot, Fedora 14 gives the following message, on my HP Pavilion dv2701tx laptop.
Starting udev: udevd-work[454]: error opening ATTR{/sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1a.1/usb4/4-1/4-1:1.0/power/level} for writing: No such file or directory
I suspect it has something to do with my Authentec AES2501 fingerprint reader. I need it to work for my project, but it's not working, even though it works fine in the Windows 7 installed on my system.
I wanted to give kupfer a try, though I had to build it from source as it doesn't appear to be in the repos. The building seemingly went fine and installed, but I get these error(s) when I try to run the program:

I am attempting to install Xemacs-21.4.22 on Centos 5.4 and get the following error message when I attempt to... make install

I understand that there are some X11 bitmaps not included in Centos 5.4 however I have no idea how to install them.

I bought a DVD laser lens cleaner for $20.00 that worked fine in my DVD player But my computer will not play the video using real player 11 or the movie player.
Tried doing yum install mplayer, it says "No package mplayer available". Installed real player as its rpm is available and its installation was smooth. I'm able to play mp3 files on real player 11. My distro is RHEL5. Need to play avi and mp4 formats on my system.
What is the best way to install a plugin capable of playing real videos for Debian Linux? In particular I want this web page to run correctly under Iceweasel and Chrome:
Recently i tried rgba transparency in my karmic 9.10 and it works fine.... My problem is i want to disable transparency in real player. I tried by adding 'realplay' in the file '/etc/profile.d/gtkrgba.sh' but nothing works.
