Is there a website that collates any GPU benchmarks? I found something a few years ago, but can't recall what I asked google to get there. I am building a new PC and want to know how much more bang for my buck going from speed bin to the next garnishes me.

Our setup is 64bit F13, Firefox/NoScript, KDE, when trying to access www.nook.com we get a long pause followed by "server not found" message. We can change to another hard drive and boot WinXP/Firefox/NoScript and we a get a redirect to:http://www.barnesandnoble.com/nook/i...refront-_-nook

System I am currently running an HP Pavillion laptop 500G HD, 6G RAM, dual boot Fedora 10 and Vista.
Questions: How should I partition HD to allow functionality of LAMP and to later transfer to a online webserver.
I have read several different rational on partitioning the disk. Do I really need a /tmp, /var? Currently I have / /boot, /swap, /home, /usr. Is this okay to start? Will it make transferring the project more difficult for "official use?
Should I not use the laptop at all and create a separate machine for this purpose only?

View 2 Replies View RelatedRecently Firefox is showing some but not all the links inside a page in a website that I use every day.Firefox had worked well in the past years with this site, so I made a few tests:- I tested the web page on Firefox 3.5.9 on Fedora 12. Some links missing.- I tested the same web page on IE8 on Windows Vista. No issues, all links there.- I tested the same web page downgrading Firefox to version 3.5.4 and downgrading the required libraries. Same issue, some links missing.- I compared the html code that the web server hands to both IE8 and Firefox. They are exactly the same.I don't know enough about html or javascript to understand why Firefox doesn't like some of this code portion.

I have hosted my site from some hosting service. They are providing pretty good C panel but my problem is that the host belongs from US and maximum hosted website from US and during united states office hours my site goes down because high usage and overload on mysql server. I have tried my pc to turn into web server by fedora 14 and I am successfully to do it. But I have only one pc and It's Intel dual core with 2 gb ram. I know It's pretty good configuration for F14. Bu My pc is more that 3 and half years old. So, I want to know is it will be good idea to convert my pc into web server or should I get a new one? Or what do you say If I get a used pc.

I am facing a problem in browsing website with F15 installation, both firefox and chrome browsers give me a headache. The main website that cannot be accessed is facebook.com, I only can browse it in certain of time after clearing cache, cookies and histories, this only happen for facebook web only.

Scenario is like this I have three virtual redhat server(R1,R2,R3) 5.0 on VMware workstation 7.0 installed on window 7(physical machine), on R1 I have DNS server , On R2 I have Apache web server and I have hosted a website called "geekgadget.com" just for testing purpose, R3 is just a normal server nothing installed on it yet..
Problem : I can access my website [URL] from all of my three virtual redhat server but when I try to access it from some of my physical XP,window 7 machines as well as from virtual XP machine present on my local LAN, website cannot be accessed so I am not getting the point why it happens because I checked that my port 80 is listening.

Here is the original information ( Ubuntu's Forums ) about a very similar card. It clarifies that you need the 'rt3572sta', and some modifications are required to the source from ralink's website to include your Vendor and Product Id. Then modify a few files, and away you go. Step 1) Retrieve your Vendor and Product Id. Easiest way is doing 'sudo tail -f /var/log/messages' and then plugging in your USB device.

I just installed FC14 on 2 different PCs. It takes over 40 seconds for either of them to open some webpages, ie amazons home page. It is not my internet connection. I can open the same webpage on both my Windows PCs in less than 5 seconds. I was using FC9 up until 1 month ago, and I believe it took about 15 seconds to open amazon, but I never actually timed it. I spend many hours a day on the internet and have used FC for many years. I have been very happy with it. Until now. My PCs are 1.8GHZ single processor and 2.4GHZ dual processor. Do I have to revert back to FC9 to fix this, or use a different distro?

I have tried to run the "host" command against different DNS caching servers I have access to all produced the same timed out error. I called Aeroplan technical support to report the issue to them and from their perspective, they have no problem accessing the website.And we don't have any problem accessing any websites ourselves if "host" return A record lookup without the timed out error.
1. It's not our firewall filtering out packet. I tried it on external facing server without firewall and got the same result.
2. It's not our DNS caching server cause same errors are observed on our ISP caching server.
3. It works on an altogether network, from a Windows Vista desktop, through IE 8.
In first place i am sorry about my horrible English. I want to make a web site with a virtual host of apache visible by all the computers connected to my networking. I put this in the end of the file "/etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf"("192.168.1.194" is the IP address of my computer. The default gateway IP address is "192.168.1.1"):
