Earlier I was using Fedora 14 32 Bit with pae kernel. It used to detect 3.8 GiB of RAM (out of 4GiB). Now I've installed Fedora 15 64 Bit, but it detects only 3.7 GiB of RAM.... I've not installed any kernel patches.

Ive installed fc11 on my laptop (IBM lenovo R400). My work has a proxy which we must go through. I have set the proxy addresses in System Settings->Network Settings-> proxy. I have also run export [URL].. All seems to be ok, yum works from the command line, konquer goes out to the net just fine. However firefox wont connect to the internet no matter. The only way at the moment is to manually set the proxy in firefox.This doesnt seem right? Surely FF should pick up the system proxy? Does anyone have any ideas about this one?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a new F12 install, and my syslog is filling up with messages about USB. I have 2 USB devices plugged in directly to the mobo (bluetooth keyboard receiver, touchscreen), and it keeps redetecting them and then disabling the port for some reason.

Can anyone get the website below to work correctly with Firefox 3.5 and F11 64bit?[URL]...All I see is the background scrolling slowly and jerkily, none of the buttons at the bottom work. Reboot into Windows 7 and IE8: the same site is fast, smooth, the buttons work and the product details appear correctly in the centre of the screen.
I've tried disabling all adblock /pop up block options, ensured all javascript options are enabled and no change. Could this be a problem with the 64 bit flash player (installed from leigh's sticky thread) or a problem with OpenJDK?

Anyone successfully installed AIR and iPlayer on F11?
I've switched to 32 bit Adobe flash, tried Autoten for AIR and Dangermouse's advice for iPlayer: url.html but it's not working, and trying to install AIR from url results in an endless busy downloading graphic .
I assume my problem is a lack of required packages, though I searched the repositories using YUM extender for the packages listed here: url.html and can't see them either as installed or available.
I want to install IBM Lotus Symphony on my 64 bit system, but yum only finds 32 bit version.

C: Drive as Windows 40 GB capacity and successively partitioned the rest of the drives for 50 GB capacity and left an unallocated space of 67 GB for fedora 13 x64 installation. The problem that I am facing is, that I am unable to install fedora on this unallocated space..even though I am checking the option for "Creating custom Layout". When I check the option for "Creating Custom Layout" Ive been shown with the only option to install fedora on the unused space on the HDD which is around 265 GB. I am also attaching a screen shot of my disk management. how I can install Fedora on this unallocated space of 67 GB?

First off, I want to say that I'm loving Fedora 13. The problem is, I have run Windows 7, Vista, OS X and Ubuntu on this custom set-up. They've all run very fast, without a hiccup, but for some reason Fedora 13 seems to be running very slow. View 2 Replies View RelatedA while ago I upgraded to 4GB of RAM on an x86 system, up from 2GB. However, even with the PAE kernel installed ("2.6.40-4.fc15.i686.PAE", at the moment), I can't actually access the full 4GB, only 2.9GB as if I was running a non-PAE kernel. Both the BIOS and lshw can see the 4GB installed, and my CPU does support PAE, so I really don't know what could be causing this.

I've tried to install Fedora 11, both 32 and 64 on my main machine.It could not install as it stops on the first install window. I've already filed a bug but really haven't seen any feed back yet.The bug has something to do with Anaconda and the Raid array but I really can't tell.

I have installed Fedora 7 on an old Dell laptop. The laptop has an internal wifi card that works. How can I get Fedora 7 to access the internal card? BTW I'm using an older version of Fedora because Fedora 12 causes the system to hang. I guess it just doesn't have the resources needed to run 12. I've used 7 on this machine before and it works great, but I've never been able to access the internal wifi card.
