Is it possible to either A. convert a deb.bin to an rpm or B. install a deb.bin on Fedora 13 i686?

Software :: Convert A Bunch Of .ogg Files To Mp3 To Play On IPod - Unable To Convert With Sound Converter?
May 3, 2009I have Ubuntu 9.04 and just installed Sound Converter. I am trying to convert a bunch of .ogg files to mp3 to play on my iPod and it's not working so well. In the Sound Converter options I have is set to convert to high quality mp3. I choose the folder that the files are in and after a moment (slow laptop) Sound Converter populates, I hit 'convert' and it shows that the conversion completes in two seconds. All that it did was create the new folder structure of artist/album but there is nothing in there. Not sure what I am missing. I used Sound Converter before and it worked fine.

Dec 24, 2010I have a lot of .flac files downloaded from several sites. Most of them come with a .cue file, and the .jpg with the cover, etc. It seems it is the intention of the uploader that one rebuilds the original CDDA. However, if I had a stand-alone CD/DVD player with flac I would hardly see the point of converting the flac to cdda. Furthermore, I could even play the flacs with a software player although, in this case, the audio quality would not be so good due to the noise picked up by the signal from the PC digital circuits.

Aug 30, 2010I want to trim an wma file, but audacity does not open it. I assume it opens wav files, so I have to do this conversion first..I know ffmpeg, mencoder or lame could do it. Dec 30, 2010I need to install the hsupa modem driver in my fedora 13. The driver that came with the modem is in deb format (hsupa_i386.deb). I want to convert it into rpm. I used Alien to convert deb to rpm. I followed the instructions given in [URL] when i run the command ./alien.pl -r hsupa_i386.deb, i get the following
[root@anish alien]# ./alien.pl -r hsupa_i836.deb

I tried the same without being root, then it says alien is not running as root!.
I need this driver to be installed to connect to the internet. Is there any other way to convert it to rpm?, I have attached the deb file here as a zip file (as deb file cannot be attached here!)

But I'd like to set it up as headless - and it presently needs to have a monitor attached. No keyboard or mouse and it will boot to the login screen (so not a BIOS issue). I need to get it to boot without needing a monitor or requiring a graphical log in. I can administer via SSH and Squeezebox server puts up a webpage. FC15 doesn't use inittab any more, so changing run levels is fraught. I don't want to play with targets without a safety line ...
