i have installed evtouch on a fresh install of slackware 13 where i did a full install.. i installed evtouch using this website [URL]

I did not see the source code in the kernel version I have. where can I find the code for U32 module.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've installed openSuse 11.4 server-mode (text only) on my desktop, and I'm trying to configure IceWM so i'll eventually have it set up so it always boots into text only mode, but I could be able to quickly start icewm via the command line.using Yast, I installed the Xorg server, and icewm.when I type X, the screen goes black and it just doesn't seem to do anythingI found if I hit ctrl+alt+f1 it kinda puts me back into text only mode, but I can't put in commands anymore. The last thing it says on the screen is:
Failed to load module "fglrx" (module does not exist, 0)
I've goggled that error message and the discussions that popped up around it made no sense to me at all. I've never configured X from scratch before, can someone point me towards a tutorial or something?
I m having problems installing OpenSUSE 11.2 on a Intel SS4200 on a Transcend IDE 4GB Flash Module. I�m using a USB stick as install source. The Intel SS4200 device does not come with PS2 ports. Therefor I�m using USB keyboard and mouse. I have to use the vesa graphics option on the boot menu, otherwise the USB keyboard and mouse won�t work. Unfortunately the OpenSUSE installer does not recognise the Transcend 4GB Flash Module. What can I do?

Unfortunately when I try to install my Okidata ML320, cups it's not showing any parallel ports. I try to update all the system with last patches and packages :I tested the card on a pc with windows xp, installed my printer and it works perfectly.

However, before compiling it, I added the gnome applet for sensors to the panel, and surprisingly it shows the cpu and motherboard temperatures. How reliable it is? Few months ago I've migrated from Ubuntu to Debian - I like it a lot but there is one thing which keeps bugging me.Sometimes - one of the few boots - nvidia module won't load and GDM won't start. During the "bad" boot system freezes for a while after the message "PME# disabled" and gives the message about nvidia GPU not supported. Because of that GDM fails to start.Below are the boot logs (without the leading time for easy diff comparison) - the "bad log" when nvidia fails to load and the "good log" when everything is OK. Any help?

Problem is, PCI-ID 0x665f is not present in Jessie's 3.16 kernel sources. The hardware however is supported, it's just not recognized. So I'll have to get the Debain sources and patch include/drm/drm_pciids.h
From the 4.1rc1 kernel I know what to patch and where.

Just installed squeeze from previous Lenny and am having problems. With Lenny, for the tv card, needed: the modudule saa7134 card=54 tuner=78, i.e. had to give it the card= tuner= stuff - it could not autodetect that bit. Squeeze appears the same:

So, question, how do I give it the module options? - the problem is 'modconf' will not unload the saa7134 module because it says it is in use, even though the TV is not being used. Always the same error when booting. After a period of time, (Graphical User Interface) the mouse click no longer operates, also text input isn't possible.
I had no access to the system at all, even crt alt F1 stopped working, also text input was no't possible. so reinstall was the only option. Maybe there is a connection with this two errors.
I've reinstalled Debian 8 several times. Still, both errors stay.
The same happend again (in the GUI) is nothing possible, no txt input, no mouse click), but now I have access to the system, ctr/alt F1 is working.
I'm having problems to compile XIllybus kernel module. As this guide explains, [URL] ..... (on the top of page 8 of 25) I unpackaged the tar.gz file and compiled the kernel module by typing the make command in the proper path. When I compile the module with make command, I get the following error:

I've installed Debian 8.0 Netinst ISO on my old Ubuntu 8.04 Desktop to upgrade it for banking access requirements. I've installed the 32 Bit Jessie (Debian 8.x) and I am trying to get GWintree installed from the .deb file on the Internet. It was missing libtiff4, and I contacted the author about the missing lib. He rebuilt GWintree for Ubuntu 14.04, and uploaded the new .deb file. Now, when I try to install the deb with gdebi, I get another missing lib named libjpeg8, which is a runtime module. libjpeg8 is not available in Jessie, but is available
in Stretch (unstable) & also SID.
Is it possible to change my repositories, and add just the libjpeg8 module and get GWintree installed. That assumes there aren't other missing libs as well. If not, what is the best way to get libjpeg8 backported to Jessie? Who does this type building? GWintree worked well in Squeeze & Wheezy! I hope I can get it working in Jessie.
