i have problem with chromium ...when i try opening website like [URL].. i get a message saying untrusted certificate and if i proceed then it crasehs in no time....it is d problem with www.facebook.com tooo..wat do i do ? what exactly is the problem..?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI am running openSUSE 11.2 with KDE4.5 on my eMachines e525. I just did a "zypper up" on my system and it reported that Chromium was going to be updated. I agreed and the when the update was finished I shut down Chromium and started it again. It flickered on the screen for a moment and crashed. I tried again but it produced the same thing. I logged off and back in and tried Chromium again... same thing. I restarted and tried... same again!

I often use the option in Chromium to create 'application shortcuts'. These are instances of Chromium that make a website look more like an app by not including most of Chromium's toolbars. I use it for gmail and google docs and spreadsheets and calendar. In 11.04 I have set up Desktop launchers and copied them across to the Launcher (what an odd way to add something to the launcher, why no right-click 'add launcher' option?)
The problem is that the launcher thinks all these apps are chromium (which they are really, but I would like them to be seen as separate apps). If I minimize my gmail window, a little triangle appears next to the chromium icon, not the gmail icon. To get the window back, I have to click on the Chromium icon. Clicking on the gmail icon launches a new instance of it (also tied to the Chromium icon).
if i run chromium with --enable-gpu-rendering flag chromium's display looks like it's shattered into thousands of pieces and I can't understand a thing. This doesn't happens if I have a previous instance of chromium opened in the usual way, without any flag. In this case if I open another chromium window with the --enable-gpu-rendering flag it's display looks ok, but I can't figure out what's the problem and how could this be fixed if there's solution for it of course.

Is it possible to force AWN to group this specific chromium window under the Grooveshark launcher that I have in the dock? Turning off grouping does not solve this either, as it just shows grooveshark as another chromium window.

All five of my computers are connected to the switch, actually. The only one that won't talk to any sites other than https secure sites is the Linux box. I am not well-versed in the inner workings of Linux and need some help in what I need to do so that regular http sites work. Works fine when going directly to the server, just not through lvs. I thought it might be the send/expect statements but have tried various with no go.

I have an ssh tunnel with my ubuntu (vps) server. On my local computer I have proxifier, to redirect everything with socks5.
Everything works fine, I can browse websites and that. Email also works.
But when I want to visit a website that uses https it doesn't work. I do not get to see the website, or receive an internal server error.
A while back, I put a site up under a LAMP setup, and followed a guide from ubuntuforums that I googled to set up SSL encryption for the site.
That site works great, but since then, I've added some other sites to the same LAMP server. They load fine as well, but if I type in https:// before going to the latter sites, the browser attempts to redirect to the first, and warns that it is a fraudulent certificate, and that I'm at risk by going to the site.
Obviously, it isn't an attack site, the certificate is just set up for only one domain. How do I prevent my non-SSL sites from redirecting to the SSL-encrypted site?
I'm running a squid proxy in my ubuntu server, and I must have mess it up with the squid configuration. Users, cannot, access https pages. Can you tell me what to change in my squid.conf, so, to fix this?

A few days ago I installed a new SVN server using ubuntu 10.04 server editiopn at our company and it runs almost flawlessly. Almost that is. The server uses a self-signed certificate so all communications go over https. The strange thing is this. When I run some svn command from my (windows) pc, like update I get asked whether or not I want to accept the certificate. Then I choose "accept permanently" end all goes well. In future command I don't get that question anymore. But when my colleague does the same from his pc, he also gets the same question. Now, when he chooses "accept temporary", all goes smooth. But when he chooses "accept permanently", like I did, he gets an error saying:
RA layer request failed
svn: OPTIONS of 'https://path_to_some_repo': Could not read status line: An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine.
Of course I googled on this and could find two things: Server settings are wrong
there's something wrong with the firmware of the router. The first couldn't almost be the case since it works for me and I followed the manuals. The second one couldn't be it either because when I log in with my account on my colleague's pc, it works. This is also the case when he logs on to my pc. So the problem exists specifically when he is logged in on his own pc. The setup of this machine is exactly the same as mine.
I have installed Dansguardian on my little brothers laptop (using Tinyproxy and Firehol too) and I have it mostly configured the way I like it. The only problem now is that I can't seem to block secure (https://www...) websites, and he knows a few proxies that use secure domains. I was wondering if anyone has been able to make Dansguardian block these websites or is it just not doable?

However, I am unable to find where to actually enable these hosts in the configs. The apache website says to put it in httpd.conf however that file is empty on my machine.
The existing default virtual hosts are in "/etc/apache2/sites-available/default" and "default-ssl"
The main config file is /etc/apache2/apache2.conf
I am running version 2.2.16 of apache
I need to use the same .htpasswd file for all the sites.
I have configured CNAMES on my domain for all of these hosts.
I'm just wondering how many people out there use a load balancer of some kind for terminating HTTPS/TLS/SSL before sending requests onto backend web servers?
And if you send the requests onto those backend servers using an Stunnel of some sort to keep the data encrypted between your load balancer and your webservers?
I'm trying to use svn over http or https because I'm rear of a corporate proxy. Only allows HTTP connections.
I tried connect-tunnel but no success.
I also modified ./subversion/servers and I added the proxy server but no success.
I have issue with lwp. A https get request returns 400 error. How ever I am able to get 200 response using a browser. I am not using any proxy.
