Apr 6, 2011i would really like to install Natty from scratch (i always prefer clean installs than upgrade) , but i am seeding 1500 torrents in transmission most of them sorted in directories, and manually adding them again is a big big pain.and will take alot of time.is there a way i can keep the config file or whatever so i dont have to manually add them all? so that i just add it in the new transmission folder and all torrents appear.i assume one way is to keep the /home folder?? but then what if i want a complete clean new install and this is the only thing i want to keep from the old installation?

Nov 18, 2010Recently I Installed New Redhat server while I Install Any Packages It says:
"No such file or directory"
But If I Search the file using [rpm -qa | grep packages_name]
It shows the package , Also If I Use [rpm -qi package_name] It show package Information , Size and Every thing.
Finally when I going install package using [ rpm -ivh package_name] It says
"No such file or directory"

Windows XP on C:
Redhat Linux is on a second drive.
MBR and /boot with grub are on the C: drive.
I spent a lot of time installing and configuring the Linux applications on the secondary drive. This machine is rather slow. I'd like to remove the second drive with apps on Linux and put it into a different faster machine. Ideally, make it another dual boot machine. So far, with the Redhat install program, I can only see installing the whole operating system, which would wipe out everything. Is is possible to install just the MBR and grub alone?
