General :: What Is The Filename - Including Path - Of A WordPress Database
Jun 17, 2011
I have local Wordpress database that got corrupt as a result of an abrupt power outage (I wasn't even editing it!).
Since the system I am dealing with is pretty static (and old), I just want to restore that database file (or collection of files) from a nightly backup.
But I don't know which files I should be restoring. The WordPress blog in question is installed under a local user account in an old Linux server (FC4).
I checked the wp-content directory, but apparently this is not where the content is:
Any idea which file(s) I should be restoring and what their path is?

Is there a way for me to rsync two directories comparing only filenames (and not file size, date modified, or any other criteria)?

I'm working with a lot of data, but always the same. I have, say 2GB that I keep loading 100 times a day from a local disk to do some computations.I was wondering if anyone knew if it is possible to read it once for all and then access it like a file but with the speed of RAM access. I would be looking for something like: Code: file2mem ~/mybigdatafile.dat ~/mybigdata_thats_now_accessed_superfast.dat And then the data is accessible in a way like with a symlink...

I am trying to set my java path so that it is in effect for all users including the root user. I set the path correctly in /etc/profile and that works for my personal user, but when i try to run the same commands using sudo, i get messages saying that it can't find the java path.

I have a ELRO C903ip.2 camera. I want to use it on zoneminder but am having trouble connecting. I have set a basic account of visitor with username and password both set as visitor.
The question is what is the syntax to the cameras ipaddress via http passing the u/n and p/w at the same time as part of the http string? I have tried the web page: [URL] .... to no avail, i must be missing something pretty obvious but just can't see it for looking.

How can I set a pattern that will output a filename equal to the original filename? E.g.
something.mp3 → something.ogg
And why isn't this implemented in SoundConverter?
PS: {Filename} doesn't work.

I'm trying to get wordpress to work with lighttpd and my home test server... <name>.dnsalias.org as my IP is not static... When I install wordpress ( via apt-get ) and set it up through install script like this:
bash /usr/share/doc/wordpress/examples/setup-mysql -n wordpress <name>.dnsalias.org It is accessible from outside of my network but not from local one where the sever ip is 10.0.0.200 From outside it is using correctly domain <name>.dnsalias.org but from inside when I try to use ip 10.0.0.200 from other pc on net it will not work..a s it still using <name>.dnsalias.org in all links... Also I would like to have it in <name>.dnsalias.org/wordpress as I have another test site in <name>.dnsalias.org/<test_Site> which by thee way works from inside and outside of my network.... its just wordpress ...
I have followed this guide: [URL] but its for apache... I spend whole night searching for some solution and now I'm dead tired and you are my last hope ...( ....Obi Wan Kenobi ) So does someone running wordpress in setup like I described above, if yes

I've installed ethernet adapter, it is made in china from a manufacturer called FOX. The driver for that adapter is supported for sco linux kernel version 2.4.x and 2.5.x .However, I'm using Centos5 but the OS didn't recognize the adapter alone, so I'm trying to follo instructions on the driver on the attached CD.
The CD contains file named "SC92031.c", the instructions tell me to do the following "Compile the driver source files and it will generate sc92031.o"

I use this command:
Code:
find ./ -atime +360
to figure out the files that haven't been accessed since 360 days. The command above will return results like this:
Code:
/uploads/2010/02/some-file-name.ext
/uploads/2009/08/another-file-name.ext
... etc
I'm taking here about tins of directories, thousands of files. I'm looking to find a command that makes me able to move the results above to another path, and to create that path once it doesn't exist like below:
Code:
mv /uploads/2010/02/some-file-name.ext /old-files/uploads/2010/02/some-file-name.ext
But I want the executed command to create this path
Code:
/old-files/uploads/2010/02/
If it doesn't exist.

I have a program that takes a relative path as input appends it to a some path string to get the actual path.
Now all I can input is the relative path. So if I want to go one level above my input will be ../mypath.
If I know the depth of the path used internally, I can use .. as many times to go to the root directory and then give the absolute path. But suppose I do not know the depth of the directory, can I construct a relative path string such that it considers it as a relative path. One way could be to have enough .. in the path string so that I can force an absolute path for some maximum depth of path.
Is there some path string syntax that I am not aware of but can achieve this?

I have question regarding setting permissions on wp-content/uploads... in wordpres. I read a tutorial where they want you to set permissions: chown -R julie.julie uploads/ chmod -R 777 uploads/ 777 makes it rwx for others as well. It's not secure! It works but is temporary fix. How I can make sure that the user julie (wordpress) will be able to write to it but anybody else wont.

This is my first post so quite fitting it should a pretty stupid question. I have a CentOS server to which I have installed mysql/apache/vsftpd/php5 and wordpress. I can ftp in using the ftp account (i changed the password) but it cannot create directories/files. Im trying to change the wordpress theme for which it askes for FTP credentials and when I put them in i get this error Could not create directory /var/www/html/wordpress/wp-content/upgrade/midnight-blue.tmp
I am guessing this is either a permissions problem on the user side or a directory permissions/ownership issue, but i have no clue where to start on this.

IIRC, database users have nothing to do with Linux system users - but I just need to clarify that.So can an app launched to run as user 'foo', connect to a database as user 'foobar'?

I am supposed to create a .tgz with the filename : hostname-day-date-HH:MM:ss.tgz
The .tgz gets created with the correct filename but when I try to unpack it the filename can't be resolved, it's the : that mess things up.
