I can connect via Windows XP to my computer and have it send pictures to my mobile.
I have a Nokia 7210 supernova mobile. I have a EMINENT EM1081 bBlue dongle. I use openSUSE 11.3 with Gnome.
I cannot however get my computer to connect (nor vice versa) to my mobile phone under Linux.

I have HP mininote 2133 with Suse SLED 10.I am trying to connect internet via bluetooth and a mobile phone. The machine itself does not have bluetooth, but it recognizes the Belkin bluetooth gadget, which I inserted into the USB port. I started the bluetooth with Yast and "Information about the equipment (I don't know what the correct term is in English, because my OS is in Finnish language)" tells that there is Belkin Bluetooth adapter connected. But my mobile phone cannot find my computer (there is nothing wrong with the phone, because it can find other computers!) when I try to pair up the phone and the computer

I want to connect my mobile LG Gu285 using data-cable to connect to the internet in OpenSuse 11.3 but the OS is not detecting mobile's usb data modem. I used sudo wvdialconf create command to configure my phone's modem but no modem is detected. I configured bluetooth modem in "rfcomm1" and got success in connection but after a restart I am unable to connect again, throwing error "Modem not found".

I am trying to use the HUAWEI E1756C USB stick to connect to the internet. Installing usb_modeswitch and usb_modeswitch-data allowed networkmanager to "recognize" the stick and set up a mobile broadband connection.
The result is that NM succeeded in connecting (one of every five attempts) but firefox does not surf, nor emails can be downloaded etc. Just like if not being connected. The USB modem shows the steady blue LED as connected.
A NM issue? I have tried disabling NM control and tried with PPP clients like NMTSMON, wvdial and even Sakis3g. All with the same results. They seem to connect and show flux up and downloaded but no surfing.
resolf.conf shows is pretty much empty and no DNS there.
The working settings in Window$ are:
Same settings with Sakis3G, or NMTSMON or NM result in connection with no action from applications that use the internet.
I have had a similar issue with WLAN each time I change to a different network. I solve that by forcing to update the DHCP. I mean using -su dhcpd wlan0
But attempts like dhcpcd ttyUSB0 or dhcpcd ttyS0 get the same result. So no idea if this is an DHCP, or DNS or another issue.
My box is an ASUS EEEPC 2005H netbook with OpenSuSE 11.2 and KDE

So I can send pictures from my phone to my PC, I've bought a Bluetooth USB adapter, just a cheap one.
System>Preferences>Bluetooth without the adapter says 'no adapters are plugged in'. With the adapter in I get a preferences screen to find new devices, so my PC is seeing the Bluetooth adapter. I've then got it to successfully find both my phone and my wife's and entered the provided pin into each phone. My desktop is duly listed as a device on each phone.
However, if I try and send a picture from either of the phones to the PC the phone says it can't see any devices and the sending fails.
Also, how do I send files the other way, from PC to phone? I installed Obex but it simply hung then closed itself.

I'm using Ubuntu 9.10 and mobile Samsung SGH 610. The bluetooth is on in both and I can browse the mobile phones' directories from the laptop. But if I try sending a photo from mobile to laptop, it says connection failed every time. Both laptop and mobile are able to recognize each other and I can pair with the laptop successfully.

There is a feature in MS Windows OS that allows users to play the songs on their mobile on the computer via bluetooth, i.e., the users can use the computer speakers as a bluetooth headset. Are there any ways or any software to do the same in GNU/Linux?

I have Ubuntu gnome 10.04 'lucid' and I can connect with Mobile Broadband internet by using my Nokia 5800 as an USB dongle by just setting the right "Mobile Broadband" settings parameters. It connects flawlessly.
Then I set the /etc/rfcomm0 file with the proper parameters with the Bluetooth MAC address and the proper channel and paired the phone with my PC of course.
But how can I enforce the network manager that it selects Bluetooth instead of USB ?
