Can anyone tell me in performance tunning of apache-tomcat and jboss application server?when I deploy some application in apache-tomcat the performance is say 100 users per second and incase of jboss it is even worst (35-40 users per second)i want to improve my performance 1000 uesrs per second..
We are using a webserver and application server for our portal. When my JBoss application is down on the application server, a maintenance page is shown to the user when the user tries to access the portal. When the JBoss application on the application server is up, the webserver redirects the request to the JBoss application server. Now, while the JBoss application is up and I replace the contents of index.html page in apache with the maintenance page contents.
Still the webserver redirects the request to the JBoss application server and the contents of index.html are not shown to the user. I am not able to find out any configurations for this automatic redirection in webserver. By automatic, I mean if the JBoss application is up, then redirect the request to the application server, else show maintenance page. What I want to do is show maintenance page even when my JBoss application is up.
I am using SUSE enterprise server 11 SP1. I have jboss server application 4.0.5 GA in the above O.S where I have some problem in running the jboss. How and where to download the latest jboss server for the O.S
I have setup a MySQL High Availability Cluster with two nodes using DRBD & Heartbeat. I have successfully installed the cluster but one question which is still not solved is that Heartbeat monitors failover of network or server failure, etc.
What will happen if MySQL service gets stopped or do not start. This heartbeat-DRBD cluster does not take any action on that part. Now I want to enable this feature too which also monitors MySQL service. I have gone through MON help on web but could not find out any good step by step tutorial.
I have 2 ethernet cards but when I look at the Network configuration in "Hardware Tab" I have another acx wireless network. How to delete that because In my system Idon't have wireless card..probably installed before but want delete it now.
then windows can ping server and resolve ip address and browsing Internet but can't ping [URL]... result is Request time out. ICMP already enabled in iptables.
I have one server with Jboss and Tomcat installed, I have to start these servers manually everytime I do reboot the server. How I could do to start Jboss and Tomcat automatically, when I do reboot the server?
i have a root-server and a vserver.the vserver should provide services if the root-server is not reachable. i would like to configure heartbeat. its runnung on the root, but on the vserver i get an error: if i set the following in the ha.cf:
I have configured heartbeat+DRBD on a SLES10 SP3 cluster and that's working fine except when both nodes are down and I turn on only one node. When this happens, the heartbeat don't starts automatically (the service status says it's unused, so the services, IP address and partition don't start automatically too). I can turn on the heartbeat manually (service heartbeat start) and get the services, ip address and partition initialized too, but I'd like to make it starts automatically because it's possible to have one node broken and the person that will turn on the other node can forget to manually starts the service.
-When the heartbeat is unused on the first node and I turn on the second node, the heartbeat on the first node starts automatically and everything is fine. -The command "chkconfig heartbeat on" was executed.
I'm currently trying to stop JBoss and I'm not able to accomplish it, have look everywhere... java, etc, no idea.It was working well and then it just stopped.no changes were made from a Jboss perspective.
As we have planned to implement jboss web server. i am curious gather some information about it.My question is where jboss stores the deployed file. Because jboss server starts with no error.but i cant able to access my application. Its showing 404 error.I just want to know the path where jboss stores the deployed file or the any log files that tells the story.
I'd like high-availability feature to firewall (iptables) and openvpn service I'm running at my job. Mi project is two firewall boxes in a active/pasive configuration. And if it's possible sync connections' states. I started reading on heartbeat and I'd like to hear some advices and take away some doubts: For the config I'm planning heartbeat service is enough or it would require a CRM service such as pacemaker.
I am trying to setup a High-Availability HTTP Load Balancer With HAProxy & Heartbeat using the below links.
I have all RHEL 5.4 servers hosted on VMWare.
This is the scenario, as given in the links as wells as my setup.
Load Balancer 1
Load Balancer 2
Web Server 1
Web Server 2
I have followed all the steps mentioned in the links religiously except the 2.2 here, in which it is asking to configure the vhosts. I could not really understand , what is to be placed in /etc/httpd/conf.d/vhosts.conf file and in which Web Server.
Due to this step only, I think I am failing in Failover test given in Point 4.1 here. I am able to open the webpage by [url] which gives the content of Web Server 1 (http1.example.com). But, when I try to shutdown the http service (to check failover), it does not shows the contents of Web Server 2 (http2.example.com)
Although, I am able to succeed in Failover Test 4.2, in which shared IP 192.168.0.120 switches when I try to start/stop the any of the Load Balancers.
I've just installed anki_0.9.8.7-1_all.deb successfully...however, when i tried to run the application (Applications -> Education -> Anki), nothing happened...so my question is what's the **** wrong and how can i fix it...
New ubuntu desktop user here. I've been working with Ubuntu servers for over 3 yrs, using Windows as clients. I have OpenVPN running on an ubuntu 10.04 server, and it has worked well with Windows OpenVPN clients connecting. I took those same settings and applied them to this new install of Ubuntu 10.04 Desktop, and now openvpn seems to be failing when we get to the routes (I wrestled with the network-manager "secrets" issue for hours, but that works now).
I performed the following: sudo openvpn --config fogbank-ny1.ovpn --all is well, we're connecting/yay then *screech* FAIL--

I am using the suggested openvpn routes. If I connect from Windows (actually the .ovpn file is taken directly from the working windows machine).. all is well, routes work fine all traffic is routed thru the VPN -- same way it's worked for over a yar. I assume that this is what is causing networkmanager to fail as well. those logs indicate that it has connected to the vpn, but is probably stopping when it gets to routes.
I have 2 computer 1 with a ubuntu 10, one with windows 7. I can access the windows 7 computer from Ubuntu, and see all the documents. However I can't access \SAMBA24 which I assume is the Ubuntu. What do i have to do ? I'm a complete beginner at this.Windows 7 can't find networkpath, and Ubuntu says fail to retrieve sharelist from server.
I am seeing an unknown internet connection both send and receive of about 5kbits that seems to happen every 15 seconds or so. I noticed this the other day and rebooted. It went away but I noticed it again. Nothing shows in the System monitor under processes. I can close all programs and it still seems to happen. What is the best way to track down what is causing this connection, and how to tell what it is connecting to?
I have 2 LANs in my network. They are: LAN 1: 192.168.0.0 LAN 2: 192.168.1.0 Both LANs, communicate with each other. And both have an application server. In LAN1, I can access the web server, internal and external. At LAN2, only works on the internal network. The rule that I'm using is as follows: iptables -t nat -A PREROUTING -p tcp -d my_ip --dport 80 -j DNAT --to 192.168.1.254:80
This rule works for LAN1, but not for LAN2. Anyone know what that is can be lockin access?
Just want to know if I'm going to reconfigure the tcp_fin_timeout is there any effect to the other applications? or will affect some applications? for example changing 60secs to 30secs, 30secs to 15secs.
