I have Nokia E63, have bluetooth files in inbox which I want to transfer and I want to connect it to my Suse 11.2 PC. I have plugged in with the usb cable. Digicam Photo Program is detecting the phone but it is not connecting to it. How to mount the device? The device is showing in device manager as a usb.

I have edited wvdial.conf properly.. it just don't detect the modem ..
Trying to move from Windows to OpenSUSE. I have installed OpenSUSE 11.2, and am having a hard time trying to connect to the internet using my nokia E65. I have tried to configure the modem thru YaST and it keeps showing that my nokia E65 modem is not configured, but adds another modem every time I configure using the edit button i.e. modem0, modem1 etc.
When i finish the configuration I get pop ups on the bottom right conner:
Notification from network management
WLAN interface attached
Network interface attached
But nothing happens afterwards. When I connect the phone it shows that it is recognized as a modem (probably). but when I click on the icon so it connects to my service provider "econet" it just says activating with a red x in the conner, and still nothing happens!
The following are the screenshots (still not sure how to attach files on this forum), may someone assist, with that too.
I really want to move from Windows but this is what's stopping me. the sooner I connect to the Internet through my phone, the sooner I leave Windows, since it's the only way I can connect to the internet.

I am not sure why sometime ssh failed to connect from my old Suse at home (Linux POMDESKTOP 2.6.18.2-34-default #1 SMP Mon Nov 27 11:46:27 UTC 2006 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux) to my Fedora core 14 at work. I used the command
"ssh -X -l login_name IP_of_fedora"
Sometime it connected very fast but most of the time error with 'connection time out'. Also ping remote desktop often failed. How I can get reliable connection every time. Both desktops has been rebooted several times and both have internet access.
I don't have wireless connection .What's the suitable package for that?

I can't connect to my Suse server by ssh (using putty) cause console shows me this message: connection reset by peer some times, other times It let me type the user but when I going to enter the password It reset the connection. What I did?? Reinstalled the ssh, but everything was same, the problem still appears. So I reinstalled the Operating System, now but when I going to connect to server the problem appears again! View 14 Replies View RelatedI have been using Open SUSE 10.3 for about a year now and have been very pleased. I am now trying Open SUSE 11, it seems good, loads a lot faster than 10.3 and seems to run a little faster. I have had a few probs but they have been resolved with help from these forums. But I have a big prob remaining and I have no idea what could cause it. For no apparent reason I will lose the connection to the net.It happens mostly when running aMule, it can be downloading fine for some while when suddenly the connection to the servers is lost and it won't reconnect, and then also I can not connect to the net with Google etc. The only way to solve it seems to be to shut down, wait awhile then reboot. It will be OK for a while then the problem re-occurs. There does not seem to be a problem with anything else on the system. I know that the Modem is OK as I have three HDD - 1 running Win XP, 2 - running Open Suse 10.3. 3 - running Open Suse 11 & the prob only occurs with SUSE 11, I do not get this problem with either of the other HDD. I have tried three versions of aMule, with SUSE 11,the one given on YAST - v2.2.2-0, & others from Packman v2.2.1-0, & vSVN, the problem occurs with each version so I think it must lie with SUSE 11. I have opened ports 4662 & 4672 on the firewall, & the setup I use is identical to the one on 10.3 which works faultlessly. I use a NTL Modem connected to the PC via Ethernet.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have the above device and am trying to get it to run under 11.3. I plug it in and the log shows it recognised as a "Nokia Datacard". Then, there are several error messages that seem to emanate from a scsi "probe" (sr1 sense not known type). The device then seems to be "mounted" as a CDROM.
Needless to say, under windows, the stick is recognised for exactly what it is and it works fine - in fact, I am having to post this from a winbox using the stick. I've tried to get the stick up by seeing if the network devices area gave any joy and then the dsl area but all to no avail.
I have a dual boot Win XP and Ubuntu 8.04. I use my phone Nokia 7210 Supernova as a USB modem on XP using NokiaPC Suite. I don't know how to do this in Ubuntu.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm having troubles pairing Nokia headset BH-503 to my linux box. Here is what I tried:
1) Installed Blueman
2) searched new devices and found my Nokia BH-503
3) Set PIN code to custom and entered PIN 0000
4) Of course the headset is on pairing mode
However the pairing is always failing. In Blueman I get "Page Timeout", I also tried it with the other Bluetooth application which gives me the message "Setting up Nokia BH-503 failed"
how can i get my nokia x6 phone to be recognized on mint 10 via usb cable...plug in my cable and nothing...tried nokii nothing...bluetooth far too slow when i try it...i know it has something to do with the usb ports and the phone code...but i not sure...sorry very green here and next to no techno knowledge...ta for any info...
